Background

Schools ICT is a trusted IT partner for schools across the South East. We have been providing exceptional IT support and services to schools for over 30 years. Our not-for-profit mission is to empower teaching and learning, enabling the best possible outcomes for all students.

We offer comprehensive technical support, consultancy, and training for all school types (academies, maintained, independent, primary, special, and secondary).

We provide services without shareholders, or staff on £100k+ salaries to help schools get the best technology  and service at the lowest possible pricing.

As a local authority and regional consortia member of South East Grid for Learning we negotiate contracts with suppliers to reduce the cost to all schools.

What affects School ICT Service Pricing?

Subsequent years pricing is subject to RPI and salary scale review.

Why are the services subject to salary scale and RPI?

As a not for profit, local authority service provider the majority of our service delivery costs are paying for our highly skilled workforce which are mainly on the NJC salary scale.

The NJC salary scales are negotiated between Trade Unions and Local Authorities to agree any salary scale changes each year. Trade Unions base their negotiations on the RPI figures.

Depending on when the NJC salary scale negotiations are concluded, we use those figures or RPI to calculate the lowest possible service price increase.

When will the increased figures be calculated?

For purchases in April – pricing will be calculated in December.

For purchases in September – pricing will be calculated in May.

When will the increased figures be available?

For purchases in April – pricing will be available by February.

For purchases in September – pricing will be available by July.
